I enjoy photography, gardening and computer design. That's why my blogs are so enjoyable for me, because I can post the pictures (so many of gardens, landscapes, sunsets and of course grandchildren).

"A Farmer's Work is Never Done"

Don and Betty Fervida, 22912 CR 54
Betty’s philosophy of gardening is “plant what you like wherever you can find the space to put it.” We think you will agree with Betty as you wander throughout her gardens. Her home, as well as the farm’s outbuildings, is dressed in many of Betty’s favorite flowers and shrubs. Perennials are often moved from place to place changing the looks of her flower beds which are enhanced by rocks from the family’s fields, garden figures, old chairs, and tools. Betty doesn’t stop with just planting annuals and perennials but continues to grow a vegetable garden and has just put in a new strawberry patch. Like all gardeners, Betty’s gardens are a “work in progress.” She admits her gardens are far from perfect, (you may see a weed here and there) but being outside and digging in the soil is therapeutic for her.
