The Garden Club meeting for this month will be held Tuesday, July 19 at the DeFries Calendar Garden. We welcome visitors and interested gardeners.
The garden is located at 17477 County Road 46, 1.25 miles east of New Paris, IN. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful Calendar Garden, informal gardens, hiking trail, and canoe access to the Elkhart River. The site also provides a drinking fountain and modern restroom facilities. Following our garden visit we will stop in New Paris for ice cream. Plan to meet at the Thompson’s parking lot at 6:30 for car pooling. The park is open until 9:00 p.m. so there will be plenty of time to enjoy the beauty of this garden. Facebook people - DeFries Gardens has a site - check "like" and keep updated. Periodically there are events held at the gardens that may be of interest.
